Hello dear flist *waves* from glorious Sydney, I've been cleaning my house, listening to QaF Soundtrack Season 3 (my fav btw) & I just love the song "I Wanna Feel You From the Inside" it's probably my fav song from all 5 seasons & for me the most perfect song they could of ever used for 307 "the Eyefuck scene", OMG it's so sexy, the words so perfect, because I truly believe that Brian was not "alive" after Justin had left him, & neither was Justin after he realised what a fuck-up he'd made, them both looking at each other from across the back room of Babylon was such a turn on, Ive watched it a zillion times :) so what's your FAV song & WHY, I'd love to know, back to the cleaning!!!

Oh, "From The Inside" is certainly one of my TOP QaF songs. *sigh* Just gorgeous... However, I also LOVE 'Without You, I'm Nothing' by Placebo feat. David Bowie in season 2, and, GUH, 'Weapon' by Matthew Good Band in THE blowjob scene in 309... *sighs with happiness*
Oh, and, of course - nothing puts a smile on my face like walking/driving/getting ready/living to 'Proud', the 101 and the 513 versions.

Some thoughts from the other couple (Ben and Michael) most obsessed fan.

I love Proud from 513..simply because I have not yet seen season 1.
My all time favorite, and I know it's not Brian/Justin related is Can't Fight This Feeling, which unfortunately is not on the season 4 soundtrack ( which btw is my fav season soundtrack).
As a Ben/Michael fan, that song just says everything about their relationship to me.

Hi, OMG you've never watched S1,,how can that be? you can buy it very cheaply now from Amazon.com just go to the website look for DVD's type in Queer as Folk & all the dvd's will come up, I think it was less than $30 the last time I looked, S1 was one of the best, & Mikey & Brian we're in nearly every scene, it was very special plus OMG the Prom, let me know OK if you find it, & yes I'm glad you love B&M I truly understand :) I freakin love B&J,,later J.xx

"never (past tense)" *points to icon* it's not exactly my fave but i can't actually decide. i will get back to you on that but the reason why i chose this one for now is because the lyrics are perfect for them and when justin is like "OH I LOVE THIS SONG" simply brian saying "it fills the void" as if he's relating just kind of really gets me. idk. i'll go listen to my songs on my cds and figure out which is my favourite.. i might go with 'weapon' though since that is one my fave b/j sex scenes. ;D

Yeah I love that as well, it's actually sung by our Aussie local girl Tina Arena & when I heard it on QaF I thought,,"shit I know that voice" lol & the words "please don't tell me that you've changed, don't wanna hear on how, you've lost your evil ways" lol,soooooooooo BK & I love that scene, but BK wanted more than a drink from JT, he wasn't going to make it THAT easy to win him back, but he was fucked, from the moment he saw him at Vanguard's hehe!!! i've said it many times before but i love saying it again...for me it is and always will be "forever young". i have it on all three ipods in multiple playlists and there were years that i listened to it every single day. i have no idea why that particular song grabbed me but it did! and i loved the scene with the dialog. close runner-ups..."lover's spit", "proud", "filthy mind", and "true faith". if i need to cry...."ambition" can do it.

I have to admit that while I love Forever Young and Proud (which I think is the shows subtext anthem), the two songs that I find always remind me of important messages to learn for both QaF and my own life are Free (end of 204) and True Faith (end of 314).

I find that both of these have powerful messages in their words and their upbeat rhythm adds to the picture.

To pick my fav song due to a scene in the show I could never do, there are so many memories and so sorry I just can't. I will though say I have two favs of mine because they are songs I relate to. They are Absoluetly Not S2, because it is just such a fuckin great song, so powerful amd my daughter and I sing so loud...'If I wear my hair in a ponytail, if I dress, myself up inch and nail should I measure me by what you think Absolutley, absolutely not!(close may be).. we almost screem these lines everytime we sing it. [and] Ride It by Gerri S4 or 5 as it describes what musuc has always done to me and probably always will. I can never narrow done my choice of favourites. I love all the favourites mentioned here, especially "Proud".

My mp3 player is filled with QAF music, though, it appears that I'm missing some good songs. I listen to the music both on the way to work and while walking home after a stressful day!

Looking at a scene and thinking of the song, I can say that "Forever Young" is an amazingly filmed scene - the dialogue, the intensity, the pan of the crowd including dancers - it's like a video within the show! *goes to look for the YouTube clip*

Okay, here goes (take a deep breath)...

I haven't watched past season 2 episode 3 (gasp! shock! horror! blush profusely! pleaesedon'thurtmeIpromisetowatchtherestofthestuff!) Sorry, I only got introduced to the show last year october, and I watch slower than I drink, which is v-e-r-y s-l-o-w.

And songs go with moments. But rromantic kindly lent me her collection of qaf music CD's so I can at least pick some fav songs.

Going purely by music, I'd have to say...

#1 = Fly again (Club Babylon CD 1: I have this song on repeat at work, can't get enough of it! And I'm not alone. Every 5 mins I'll get a gtalk ding from rromantic bopping up and down about the song. We have contests seeing who can type the lyrics the fastest while the song is playing. Don't ask.)
#2 = Rising (season 2, this song sounds like Justin looks, full of sunshine)
#3 Spin spin sugar (Club Babylon CD 1)

The show was FILLED with such great music, so I CAN'T possibly narrow it down to one, but some of my faves are:

Lover's Spit - Does anyone NOT love this song? Perfect for 308. I saw BSS in concert and they DIDN'T perform this song. I was heartbroken.

Sexy Boy - Very apropos for Brian, and he looks beautiful lying on the sofa, cradling Gus in his arms.

Special Needs - Not from a memorable scene, just a great song. Formerly I managed a music store, and every time I played it, customers always commented/asked about it.

Sola Sistim - To me, this is such a night time song. I love this scene, Justin's face, the sound of his ring tapping the glass of his drink. It just does something to me.

Party People - A fun, funky song, and who can forget Brian in that SEXY outfit!!! He looks BEYOND HOT!!!!!!!!! I'm completely INSANE for that outfit, and those pants. *dies*

I wasn't going to reply so late but reading all the comments got me thinking about the songs!

I truly cannot choose a favorite but the three that popped into my head as I was thinking about it were:

Parce Mihi Domine - god, it's so incredibly haunting and beautiful and sad. I never listen to it because it makes me cry.

Save the Last Dance - I've loved this song for years, waaay before QAF. The fact that it's a B/J song is just icing on the cake.

Dance Me to the End of Love - I don't know what made me think of this song because I don't really remember it from the ep. The singer has a great voice, though, and it's just a nice mellow song.

When My Boy Walks Down the Street - I can't help grinning when I listen to this song. When I first saw the ep, I rushed to find this song and listened to it for daaaays until I knew all the rhythms and words by heart.

The Shining - same as above except for the making me grin part!

And I'm going to stop now because I keep thinking of new songs to add to the list!!

Mm.. I've got to say that my ULTIMATE favorite has to be "Proud" by Heather Small. I love the song itself, but I also love how it sort of starts and ends the show, since it plays in the pilot episode during Mikey and Brian's rooftop scene and in the last episode when Brian's dancing alone.

My other two favorites have to be "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" by Me and the First Gimmie Gimmies. I loved the song even before the show and the lyrics seem to tie in so well.

My last but not least favorite is "You Are My Sunshine" by Stine J. I just love how when Brian walk away from Justin he sort of hesitates and has this look of wanting to call Justin back. The song goes perfectly with that moment.

Ready to Go by Republica just all the Kissey/Stripping and Other "Action" going on makes me bounce around to the song plus I heard the song yesterday to the Ford Ad on TV and I was like Oh I know that song. Hee

It's a Kind Of Magic by Queen not a B/J Song as such but it shows Justin doing what he loves drawing and it's a happy/upvibey song.

Plus a few Honorable Mentions

Let's Hear it for the boy I love the way Justin Dance's and get's Brian Attention and well I love love that he "Get's" his man so to speak.
